Transitions of Dyer County Executive Director Cindy Davis joined the organization just in time to celebrate Christmas the Transitions way -- by giving back to the community in the fifth annual Transitions 12 Days of Christmas fundraiser. Here, Davis, right, joins Transitions board member Rose Clardy with just a small sample of prizes available in the fundraiser.
This Christmas season, Transitions of Dyer County will celebrate the fifth anniversary of its 12 Days of Christmas fundraiser. The annual series of drawings offers the ministry a chance to raise money for its programs and to give back to the community.

In exchange for a $10 donation, residents receive a chance to win prizes in nearly two weeks of drawings and the real grand prize -- the chance to help support the local ministry serving women with life-controlling problems. A donation of $10 offers one chance, with a $25 donation offering three chances for prizes offered in daily drawings Dec. 14-25.

Donations from area businesses range from gift cards, candles and spa packages to furniture, a tablet and even a trip for four to Dollywood.

"We appreciate the support we get from the community so much," said Transitions Development Director Cindy Davis. "The Transitions ministry would not be possible without the continued generosity of our donors and volunteers. Funds from this event will also help complete the addition to our building that will include a large classroom, a kitchenette, more storage space and an additional office. We anticipate this to be ready after the first of next year."

Drawings begin on Friday, Dec. 14, with daily winners published in the State Gazette and announced on 101.7 FM and 1450 AM WTRO.

Drawings include:
