The holiday season is upon us, and with it, Dyersburg First Assembly of God's second annual Tennessee Christmas.

This isn't your everyday Christmas cantata. Dyersburg First Choir members have been rehearsing since June on the Branson-style Christmas production, a presentation featuring all new singing and dancing routines and elaborate costumes.

"Toy Story" favorites, Frosty the Snowman and a wide variety of Dickens characters have signed up as cast members for "Tennessee Christmas II." Performances are set Friday, Dec. 7 through Sunday, Dec. 9. Tickets for general seating are just $5 each, with special reserved seats available for $8 and $10.

As many as 700 residents attended the church's two performances last year. With all new singing and dancing numbers, church officials hope to draw an even bigger crowd with the 2012 holiday season.

Those interested in more information or purchasing tickets may call 285-4503.
