Performances will take place in the church sanctuary at 6 p.m., on Saturday and Sunday, Dec. 1 and 2.
"The Gift" is described as a musical greeting card to the people of Dyersburg and surrounding communities, a chance to celebrate the season through music and pageantry.
Under the direction of FBC Minister of Worship and Music Bradley Gray, over 100 participants ranging in age from 6 to 75 will share in the project.
"While the music ministry is 'giving' a Christmas wish to the audience, we are also asking our audience to help us give to others," said Gray. "We are asking that each attendant bring one canned good as a gift to the Dyersburg-Dyer County Union Mission, who will feed many who need it through the Christmas season."
Tickets are free and ensure a seat in the auditorium for the Saturday and Sunday evening performances.
The 70-minute program features Christmas carols and favorites old and new. The children's choir, student choir, men's chorale, worship choir, solos and ensembles will be accompanied by the live musicians who lead worship weekly for First Baptist Church.
"There is definitely something great for everyone," said Gray.
Tickets may be picked up at no cost at the First Baptist Church office, located at 220 W. Masonic St., in Dyersburg, during business hours. Residents may also call 285-4811.
