Former housewife and mother Elizabeth Sue Climer, 82, of Milan died Saturday, December 1, 2012, at the Coronary Intensive Care Unit of Jackson-Madison General Hospital.

Her visitation and funeral service will be held at Bodkin Funeral Home in Milan on Wednesday, December 5, 2012. Visitation for Ms. Climer will be 1-3 p.m. and her funeral at 3:00 p.m. in the chapel.

Bradley Osborne of Medina, TN and Dr. Cecil Sewell of Union City, TN will officiate. Burial will follow in Centerville Cemetery in Medina.

Pallbearers are Tim Cates, Steve Pruett, Kenneth Harper, Lynn Seabaugh, Ronnie Lovvorn, and Lee Pruett. Honorary pallbearers are John Pruett, Rommie DePriest, John Sherrard, and Jimmy Ramey.

Born December 12, 1929 in Medina, she was the daughter of Hollis Raymond Pruett and Minnie Sue Whitman Pruett, both deceased.

Ms. Climer was a housewife and mother during her lifetime. She was a very active and faithful worker in Oakwood Baptist Church and Northside Baptist Church of Milan, and Russwood Baptist Church of Springville. She served as Sunday School teacher, Vacation Bible School teacher, choir member, church secretary, WMU Director, and she and her deceased husband, Paul, served as Outreach Co-Directors at Russwood for a number of years. She truly had a servant's heart.

She leaves a daughter: Shirley Ann Towater (Jim) of Union City; a son: Paul Donald (Phyllis) Climer of Halls; two grandchildren: Beth (Nick) Wooster of Arkansas and Kris (Isabelle) Climer of Nashville; four great-grandchildren: Annabelle, George, and William Climer and Emily Grace Wooster; one sister: Doris Cates of Milan; one brother: Billy (Faye) Pruett of Medina.

Her husband, Paul, and a brother, Gene Pruett, preceded her in death.

Memorials may be made to a charity of your choice.

Emmitt Alston Sr., 73, of Henning, died Monday, Dec. 3, 2012 at his residence.

Services will be at 2 p.m. Saturday at New Hope C.M.E. Church in Henning. Thompson's Mortuary is in charge of arrangements.

Harold Halliburton, 36, of Brownsville, died Saturday, Dec. 1, 2012 at Haywood Park Community Hospital in Brownsville.

Services will be at 11 a.m. Saturday at Fountain of Life Minister in Halls. Thompson's Mortuary is in charge of arrangements.
