Katheleen A. Rivers, 63, of Cordova passed away Thursday, December 20, 2012 at Methodist Hospital-Germantown. Mrs. Rivers was born May 18, 1949 in Denver, Colorado to William E. and Mary Louise Dowling and was raised in Dyersburg, Tennessee. She was the public relations coordinator for Arlington Animal Clinic, a major animal lover, was of the Roman Catholic faith and loved her family and friends dearly. Mrs. Rivers was preceded in death by her parents; brothers, William J. Dowling and Patrick L. Dowling; and is survived by her husband of 33 years, Michael L. Rivers and his mother, Irene Rivers; sons, Robert H. Reed II of Arlington, Tennessee and Brian Kelly Reed of Ft. Wayne, Indiana; grandchildren, Lauren Lopez, Landon Thompson, Skyler Reed, Cody Reed and Elena Reed; one great granddaughter, Dawsyn Lopez; and a host of family & friends. The family will receive friends from 9:00 am until the funeral mass at 10:00 am, Saturday, December 22, 2012 at Our Lady of Perpetual Help Catholic Church Chapel-Germantown with the burial to follow at 2:00 pm at Fairview Cemetery in Dyersburg, Tennessee. In lieu of flowers the family requests that memorial be sent to Juvenile Diabetes, The Arthritis Foundation or the Memphis/Shelby County Humane Society.

Bert F. Viar, III, 60, of Dyersburg, TN died Thursday, December 20, 2012 at his residence in Dyersburg. He was retired, a lifelong resident of Dyersburg and a member of the First United Methodist Church.
A private service will be held at a later date. Curry Funeral Home is in charge of the arrangements.
Survivors include one sister, Katherine Viar Hinson and husband, Ed of Madison, AL; one brother, John B. Viar of Harvest, AL; and a niece, Leslie Baird Hinson.
He was preceded in death by his parents, Bert F. Viar, Jr., and Jane Lauderdale Baird Viar.
The family requests that memorials be directed to the Humane Society.

Donald Prentis Woodside, 76, of Friendship, died Friday, Dec. 21, 2012 at Jackson-Madison County General Hospital. He was a retired employee of Tupperware Manufacturing Co. and a member of Elizabeth United Methodist Church. Services will be Sunday afternoon, Dec. 23 at 2 p.m. at Friendship Funeral Home with the Rev. Tommy McElyea officiating. Burial will be at Elizabeth United Methodist Church cemetery.
Survivors include three daughters, Donna Williams, Cheryl Woodside, both of Friendship, and Starr Chestosky of Johnson City, Ill.; a son, David Woodside of Friendship; granddaughter Amber Chapman of Nashville, and granddaughter Brea and grandson Zane Chestosky of Johnson City, Ill.
He was preceded in death by his wife, Doris June Woodside, and his parents, Prentis and Nannie Woodside.
