Johnny Glen Alvoid, 50 of Cordova, Tennessee died on Wednesday, December 26, 2012, at his residence in Cordova, Tennessee.
Born Thursday, November 22, 1962, he was the son of the late John Thomas Alvoid and the late Glenda Moore Alvoid.
Johnny Glen was an avid fan of Batman.
Funeral services for Mr. Alvoid will be 11:00 AM, Saturday, December 29, 2012 in the Chapel of Johnson-Williams Funeral Home. Officiating this service will be Rev. Bill Phipps. Interment will follow in Dyer County Memorial Gardens. Visitation will be Friday, December 28, 2012 from 5:00 PM-8:00 PM at Johnson-Williams Funeral Home.
He is survived by his brother, Bobby Alvoid and his wife, Brenda of Dyersburg, Tennessee and three nieces, Jennifer Kirkpatrick of Dyersburg, Tennessee and Brianna Hicks and Jamie Tull both of Newbern, Tennessee.
Pallbearers will be Bobby Alvoid, Steve Dronet, Jimmy Hannah, Steven Simpson, Mike Anderson and Randy Kirkpatrick.

Ann Lowe Blurton, 90, of Dyersburg died Tuesday, December 25, 2012 at her residence. She was a member of First United Methodist Church for 59 years, member of Outpost Sunday School class, chancel choir member for 40 years. She was past president of the United Methodist Women and also elected as the first City of Dyersburg Alderwoman. She was appointed to the Dyersburg Municipal Planning Board in 1997 and served many years. She was a retired real estate agent and broker until the age of 85. Mrs. Blurton was a past president of the Cotillion Club, a member of the McDowell Music Club, The Tennessee Federation of Music Clubs, the Good Earth Garden Club and the Community Concert Association.
Funeral services for Mrs. Blurton will be 1:00 pm, Saturday, December 29, 2012 at the First United Methodist Church Sanctuary conducted by Dr. David Russell. Interment will follow in Fairview Cemetery. Curry Funeral Home is in charge of arrangements.
Pallbearers will be Phillip Lowe, Jim Goodwin, Tom Goodwin, J.R. McCay, Ricky Leow and John Thomas Pressler.
The Blurton family will receive visitors Saturday, December 29th from 11:00 am until service time at the First United Methodist Church Chapel.
She is survived by a daughter, Pat Goodwin of Holly Lake Ranch, Texas; a son, Murray W. Blurton Jr. of Tiptonville; two grandchildren, Tom Goodwin of Corpus Christi, TX and Sheryl Goodwin of Conroe, TX.
She was preceded in death by her husband Murray Willard Blurton Sr., a brother Lawrence Lowe and her parents Lawrence and Lena Ward Lowe.

Tony Harris Davis, 55, of Gates, TN, died Tuesday, December 25, 2012 at his brother's residence in Dyersburg.
He was a member of Glendale Church of Christ and was employed in the maintenance Dept. for the Dyersburg City Schools.
Funeral services will be Friday at 1 p.m. in the chapel of Dyersburg Funeral Home with Bro. John Stacy officiating. Burial will be in Hurricane Hill Cemetery.
The family will receive visitors Thursday evening 5-8 at Dyersburg Funeral Home.
Survivors include his wife of 17 years, Stephanie Davis of Gates, TN; one daughter, Amanda Rhodes and husband Chris of Ripley, TN; one son, Logan Davis of Gates, TN; four brothers, Donnie Davis, James Davis, J. B. Davis all of Millsfield, TN and Billy Davis of Newbern, TN; one sister, Brenda Aker of Obion, TN; and two grandchildren, Ayden and Addison Rhodes. He was preceded in death by his parents Byars Davis and Gladys Harris Davis; two brothers, Roger Davis and Joe Thomas Davis; and two sisters, Bonnie Demo and Geraldine Pinkston.
Pallbearers will be Colton Harris, Ryan Nelson, Adam Davis, Jimmy Davis, Chris Bayerbach, and Jeff Baker.
Marcella Broglin, 80, of Halls, died on Tuesday, Dec. 25, 2012.
Graveside services will be held at 1 p.m. on Friday, Dec. 28 in the Halls Cemetery.
Jessie Louise Howell, 74, of Tiptonville, TN died Wednesday, Dec. 26, 2012, at her residence.
Cremation is under the direction of Dyersburg Funeral Home.
Taylor Michelle Stahlman, of Newbern, Tennessee, died Wednesday, Dec. 26, 2012, at Dyersburg Regional Medical Center.
