DC wins Martin Lions Club Christmas Tournament

The Dyer County Choctaws claimed their fifth Martin Lions Club Christmas Tournament championship late Saturday, their fourth in the last five years, as they defeated Kenwood High School 75-47. Robert Hubbs III was named tournament most valuable player after a dominating performance against the Kenwood Knights with 25 points, eight rebounds and seven assists. Hubbs also added four steals and three big blocks on the night. The University of Tennessee-committed senior had an impressive tournament with 81 points, 10 assists and 22 rebounds over three games. LaMarcus Mosley and Markeston "Bubba" Bostic were also recognized for their solid tournament performances by being named to the All-Tournament team.
