DeSoto Central wins Rough Country Christmas tourney

Members of the 2012 Rough Country Dyersburg Invitational Christmas Tournament champion DeSoto Central boys team celebrate with the title hardware following the 82-63 win over Corinth, Miss. The squad finished with a successful 3-0 run in the tourney, defeating Osceola 79-52 and Munford 62-61 to reach the championship game. Earning All-Tourney honors for DeSoto Central were, (l-r) Quinton Thompson, Mark Partee and Charlie Palmer. The trio combined to score 121 points during the tournament. Thompson finished the 3-day event with 35 points, Partee had 40 and Palmer led DeSoto Central with 46.
