Dixie Kathryn Richards Anderson, 65 of Dyersburg, Tennessee died on Thursday, February 28, 2013, at Dyersburg Regional Medical Center in Dyersburg, Tennessee.

Born Monday, November 3, 1947 in Dyersburg, Tennessee, she was the daughter of the late Johnny Richards and the late Cecil Garrison Richards.

Mrs. Anderson was a sales associate with Walmart and member of Evansville Baptist Church.

Funeral services will be 11:00 AM, Tuesday, March 5, 2013 in the Chapel of Johnson-Williams Funeral Home. Officiating this service will be Bro. Danny Griffin. Interment will follow in Sorrell's Chapel Cemetery. Visitation for Mrs. Anderson will be Monday, March 4, 2013 from 5-8 at Johnson-Williams Funeral Home.

She is survived by two sons, Tony Allen Anderson of Dyersburg, Tennessee and Kenneth Wayne Anderson of Dyersburg, Tennessee, one brother, J. R. Richards of Dyersburg, Tennessee; 9 grandchildren and 10 great-grandchildren.

She was preceded in death by her husband Elon Anderson, a brother, Larry Richards and a sister, Shirley Jean Rogers.

Pallbearers will be Ricky Ables, Jimmy Ables, Keith Ables, Rob Rogers, Gary Rogers and Wade Richards.

Jack E. Melvin, Sr., 83, passed away Wednesday, February 27, 2013, at Dyersburg Regional Medical Center, Dyersburg, Tennessee, after a brief illness.

Jack served in the U.S. Navy for two years after he graduated from Blytheville High School, Class of 1948, Blytheville, Arkansas. In twelve years of school, Jack only missed day to attend his sister's funeral.

He met his beautiful, loving and faithful wife, Virginia Moore, at the Ritz Theatre in Blytheville and they were married September 11, 1950. They were married for 62 years.

Jack enjoyed a long career in the automotive industry. He started out at the bottom and worked his way to the top becoming Plant Manger at Central Metal which later became The Randall Company. He retired at age 55 from Randall but continued working part time well into his 70's. He was a hard worker and good provider for his family.

Jack loved to spend time with his family and pets, most recently Luci and Daisy. In younger years, he played golf and could be found enjoying this pastime on weekends at the Blytheville Country Club. Jack loved Blytheville. He had lived there almost all of his life. He always wanted to return home.

Jack is survived by his wife, Virginia of Dyersburg, Tennessee, his son, Jack, Jr. of North Little Rock, Arkansas, his daughter, Paula Shelton of Dyersburg, Tennessee, and his brother, Joe Melvin and wife, Deborah of Rustin, Florida. He is, also, survived by his son-in-law, Mike Shelton of Dyersburg, Tennessee, two granddaughters, Kelley Shelton of Memphis, Tennessee, Lindsay Shelton of Dyersburg, Tennessee, and dear friend, Lea E. Hall of Dyersburg, Tennessee.

He is preceded in death by his beloved mother and father, John E. Melvin and Carrie Underwood Melvin, four brothers Ed, Bear, John and Maurice and four sisters Rena, Janie, Helen and Lexie.

Jack Melvin had a long and good life. He was a good man, husband, father, grandfather, brother and friend. We miss you and love you. Your memory will live in our hearts forever.

A private graveside memorial service will be held in Blytheville, Arkansas.

In lieu of flowers, donations to the Blytheville Humane Society, Blytheville, Arkansas, are requested.

Carl Harris, Jr.,55, of Trimble, Tennessee died Saturday at his residence.

Funeral arrangements will be announced by Johnson-Williams Funeral Home.

Brenda Lacewell, 61, of Fulton, Ky., died Thursday, Feb. 28, 2013 at Parkway Regional Hospital.

Funeral services will be at 11 a.m. Sunday, March 3, at Hornbeak Funeral Chapel in Fulton, Ky.

Don Morgan, 82, of Huntingdon, died Saturday, March 2, 2013 at The Highlands in Dyersburg.

Funeral arrangements are incomplete and will be announced by Dyersburg Funeral Home.

Mr. Imagene Ward, 88, of Murfreesboro, TN formerly of Tiptonville died Friday, March 1, 2013 at Middle Tennessee Medical Center in Murfreesboro.

Funeral services will be at 1:00 p.m., Tuesday, March 5, 2013 at the Ridgely Chapel of Curry Funeral Home. Curry Funeral Home is in charge of the arrangements.
