Friends of McIver's Grant Public Library will make use of its new room off the lobby of the library for a summer book sale slated at the end of this month. The Friends of the Library Summer Book Sale will take place Aug. 29-31. The room will be open from 4-8 p.m. on Thursday, Aug. 29, from 3-5 p.m. on Friday, Aug. 30 and from 9 a.m. until 1 p.m. on Saturday, Aug. 31.
As summer draws to a close, Friends of McIver's Grant Public Library offers the opportunity for local residents to stock up on books to read this autumn. The Friends of the Library Summer Book Sale offers both great deals on donated books and a chance to support the local library.

Although library officials and employees have settled in to the library's new space -- including a designated spot for the Friends organization to host its book and craft sales -- there is still a great need to raise funds to aid with the expenses of constructing and maintaining the new facility.

The Friends of the Library Summer Book Sale will take place Aug. 29-31. The room will be open from 4-8 p.m. on Thursday, Aug. 29, from 3-5 p.m. on Friday, Aug. 30 and from 9 a.m. until 1 p.m. on Saturday, Aug. 31.

The group plans to host a book sale every three months. In addition, the Friends' Room is open from 6-8 p.m. every Thursday. Items for sale include hand-crafted aprons, scarves, bookmarks and crafts, hardback and paperback books and audio books.
