With the 50th anniversary of the assassination of President John Fitzgerald Kennedy approaching, local teacher and investigator Wallace Milam will conduct a lecture about the event that changed the world.
It was on Friday, Nov. 22, 1963 when Kennedy was shot and killed in Dallas, Texas. That event and the subsequent events playing out over the next days, weeks and months have been the focus of numerous investigations and theories.
Milam has spent the better part of his life traveling to Dallas, conducting interviews of people who were involved and researching exactly what happened that fateful day.
The lecture will take place over two days -- Monday and Tuesday, Nov. 11-12 -- in the community room at the McIver's Grant Public Library in downtown Dyersburg. Milam will speak from 6-8 p.m. both evenings.
Photos, documents and videos will be part of the presentation.
The public is invited to attend.
Seating is limited.
