DHS hosts manufacturing day, school board visit

Dyersburg High School, with the help of a few local businesses, hosted a manufacturing day for the juniors and seniors on Thursday, Oct. 16. Brent Jenson from Eaton Corp., Richard Williams, Scott Hollingsworth, and Andy Sentell from Caterpillar, Rad Hunsley from Rough Country, Aaron Tiede from Nordyne, and John Little and Maria Duzan from Hillshire Brands/Tyson were the representatives who came to speak. Randomly 75 students from the junior and senior classes were chosen to partake in a question-and-answer seminar. The Workforce Development Board sets up a panel of industry representatives to give the students an idea of other career fields they can choose.
