Over the last two months, Dyer County has lost two longtime businesses as Dyersburg's Hastings closed its doors in September and Royal Building Products announced plans to shut down its Newbern facility recently as well.
In addition, Sears-Dyersburg will be closing its doors on Oct. 31, ending a 30-year tenure in Dyersburg.
How do you feel about the recent closings of businesses like Hastings, Sears and Royal Building Products?
Brenda Clark

Bill Matthews
"It's really sad because Dyersburg really needs more places to shop. And, they need some better restaurants, too."
Lorna Kelley
"I think any business that we lose in Dyersburg is sad because I like to see businesses come in and not go out. So, yeah, it's sad that yet another business is closing."
Caleb Whelchel
"It's sad that people are losing their jobs and won't be able to provide for their families."
Dan Burch
"I feel that there are too many jobs that are going overseas now because everybody is looking for cheaper labor. Everybody is looking for the bottom line and profit and, in order to do that, they are taking jobs overseas instead of taking care of people here in America."
