Harley "Wells" Basden, 91 of Dyersburg, Tennessee, formerly of Ste. Genevieve, Missouri, died on Tuesday, December 13, 2016, at Tennova Healthcare-Dyersburg Regional in Dyersburg, Tennessee.

Born Sunday, January 4, 1925 in Bunker, Missouri, she was the daughter of the late Fred Wells and the late Blanch Gordon Wells. She was a retired business owner.

Funeral services for Mrs. Basden will be 1:00 PM on Friday in the Chapel of Basler Funeral Home in Ste. Genevieve, Missouri. Interment will follow in Arcadia Valley Memorial Park in Ironton, Missouri. Visitation will be Friday from 11:00 AM until 1:00 PM at Basler Funeral Home.

She is survived two sons, Lanny E. Basden of Piedmont, Missouri and Albert Basden, Jr. of Arnold, Missouri; two daughters, Debra A. Horton of Dyersburg, Tennessee and Lana D Cowin of Bonne Terre, Missouri; eleven grandchildren; twenty-four great-grandchildren and eleven great-great-grandchildren.

In addition to her parents, she was preceded in death by her husband, Albert Basden, Sr.; a brother, Murphy Wells; and two sisters, Lucille Wells Forrester and Lana Wells, Johnson; and a grandchild.

Pallbearers will be Gerald Horton, Nathan Horton, Bryan Cowin, Aaron Cowin, Brett Vasel and Corey Vasel.

William D. Rook, 59 of Dyersburg, Tennessee died on Wednesday, December 14, 2016, at Jackson-Madison County General Hospital in Jackson, Tennessee.

Mr. Rook was born on May 4, 1957 in Dyer County, Tennessee to the late Dallas O'Dell Rook and the late Lila Pearl Seat Rook. He was a retired employee of Jerry Sollis Construction Company.

Cremation services are under the direction of Johnson-Williams Funeral Home.

He is survived by three brothers, James Rook of Dresden, Tennessee; Larry Rook and Lynn Rook both of Dyersburg, Tennessee; one sister, Rose Rook of Newbern, Tennessee; five nieces, Teresa Rook (Eugene Lippard) of Newbern, Tennessee; Christy Rook of Dyersburg, Tennessee, Misty Rook of Newbern, Tennessee, Laura Hawks of Dyer, Tennessee and Elisha Garcia of Dyersburg, Tennessee and a host of great nieces and great nephews.

Carolyn Ann “Cartie” Wright, 75, of Dyersburg, died Tuesday, December 13, 2016 at Tennova Healthcare Dyersburg Regional. Born July 15, 1941, she was the daughter of the late Ed and Frances Wright. Carolyn graduated from Dyersburg High School in 1959 and attended the University of Tennessee - Martin. She worked for First Federal Savings and Loan before she worked and retired from the Tennessee Vocational Rehabilitation Center.

Funeral services will be at 11:00 a.m. Friday, December 16, 2016 at Parr Avenue Church of Christ conducted by Scott Owen with interment to follow in Fairview Cemetery.

Pallbearers will be Chris Hart, Mark Jamison, Hunter Jamison, Scot Jamison, Shane Fogle and Josh Morris.

The family will receive friends Thursday, December 15th from 5:00 – 8:00 pm at the funeral home and beginning at 10:00 a.m. Friday morning at the church.

She is survived by sisters, Shirley Hart of Murfreesboro, Coleen Jamison (Mark) of Dyersburg; brother, Mike Wright of Dyersburg; nephews, Chris Hart (Heather) of Brentwood, Hunter Jamison of Dyersburg, Scot Jamison of Franklin; nieces, Colleen Fogle (Shane) of Murfreesboro, Hannah McNeil and Kristen Jamison (fiance’ Josh Morris), both of Dyersburg; great nieces, Sophie and Sadie Hart of Brentwood; and great-nephews, Tripp McNeil of Dyersburg and Nate Fogle of Murfreesboro.

Doris “Sissie” Littlejohn, 87, of Dyersburg, TN died Wednesday, Dec. 14, 2016 at Dyersburg Healthcare and Rehabilitation.

Funeral services will be at 1 p.m., Saturday, Dec. 17, 2016 at Curry Funeral Home with visitation starting at 11 a.m. prior to the service.

Curry Funeral Home is in charge of the arrangements.

James M. Lyte age 86 of Dyersburg died Wednesday, December 14, 2016 at Tennova HealthCare -Dyersburg Regional Medical Center. Funeral arrangement are incomplete and will be announced later by McCreight Funeral Home.
