Lady Choctaws head to Benton for Lady Marshal Holiday Classic

The Dyer County girls will complete the 2016 portion of their schedule this week as the Lady Choctaws will travel to Benton, Ky. to compete in the annual Lady Marshal Holiday Classic at Marshall County High School.

The tournament gets underway on Monday as the brackets begin at 3 p.m. The Lady Choctaws, who won the tournament last year with a 67-44 win over the hosting Lady Marshals, will begin their quest to repeat as tournament champions when they face Russellville, Ky. at 7:30 p.m. on the first night of action.

With a win, the Lady Choctaws will move into the winnerís bracket and face the winner of the hosting Lady Marshals game against Casey County (Ky.) from Monday night. That semifinal game will tip off at 4 p.m. on Tuesday.

After the Lady Marshal Holiday Classic, the Lady Choctaws will have a break in their schedule for the holidays and return to action on Jan. 3 when they open District 13AAA play against Brighton.
