Johnny Wayne Hickman, 62, of Dyersburg, died Tuesday, Jan. 3, 2017 at his residence.

He was a retired over-the-road truck driver for Reed Trucking Company.

The family will receive visitors from 12-2 p.m. Saturday, Jan. 14, 2017 at the First Christian Church fellowship building, 1700 Community Park Road, Dyersburg, with the disposition of his cremated remains to immediately follow per his wishes.

Survivors include his father, Bill Hickman of RoEllen; a son, Brian Hickman of Dyersburg; a grandson, Andrew Hickman of Dyersburg; his beloved life partner, Deborah Hobbs Floyd of Finley; two sisters, Lisa Hickman Davis and Diana Hickman Glozier, both of Dyersburg; three nieces, Abbie Glozier, Allie Glozier and Valerie Hickman Hendrix; three nephews, Caleb Glozier, Brett Tyler Davis and Jon Patrick Hickman; a great-niece, Bailey Taylor Davis; and two great-nephews, Connor and Alex Hendrix.

He was preceded in death by his mother, Doris June Hickman; a brother, Jack Edward Hickman; his grandparents, Pearl and Hurshell Hickman and Alice and George Royal Pigg.

In lieu of flowers, the family request that any memorial donations be made to the GoFund Me account of Andrew Hickman for ongoing medical care/expenses or directly to Brian Hickman.


William Franklin Spain, 76 of Dyersburg, Tennessee died on Friday, January 6, 2017, at his residence in Dyersburg, Tennessee.

Born Thursday, February 29, 1940 in Dyersburg, Tennessee, he was the son of the late Frank O’Neil Spain and the late Mable Sewell Spain. He was a retired employee of Sylvania and served his country in the United States Army.

Graveside services for Mr. Spain will be 2:00 PM on Saturday, January 14, 2017 at Fairview Cemetery in Dyersburg, Tennessee. Officiating this service will be Chaplain Kelvin Mercer. Friends are asked to gather at the cemetery.

He is survived by his wife of thirty five years, Jacqueline Perrin Spain of Dyersburg, Tennessee; two sons, Kenneth Spain and Roderick Spain both of Dyersburg, Tennessee; one  daughter, Pamela Dudley of Dyersburg, Tennessee; one step-son, Jerry Goodman of Newbern, Tennessee; two step-daughters, Debbie Bell of Dyersburg, Tennessee and Renee Kammer of Memphis, Tennessee; two sisters, Barbara Sanford  and Sherry Long both of Dyersburg, Tennessee; five grandchildren; three step-grandchildren and four step great-grandchildren.

in addition to his parents he was preceded in death by two brothers, Frederick Spain and David Spain.

Bendona Moss Biggs, 100, of Jackson, formerly of Tiptonville, passed away on Friday at Jackson Madison County General Hospital.

Services will be at 1 p.m. Wednesday at First Baptist Church in Tiptonville.

Visitation will be from 11a.m.-1p.m. Wednesday at the church.

Brenda Stanfill, 75, of Dyersburg, TN died Saturday, January 7, 2017 at Dyersburg Healthcare and Rehabilitation Center.

Terry Allen Craig, age 68 of Dyersburg, passed away on Sunday at Tennova Healthcare Dyersburg Regional.
