William Edward “Bill” Adkins, 68, of Bella Vista, Ark., died Monday, June 19, 2017 at his residence.

He was born November 23, 1948 in Dyersburg and was a United States Army veteran of the Vietnam War.

He was preceded in death by parents Otto Adkins and Velma Adkins.

A memorial service will be held at 6 p.m. Saturday, July 1 in the fellowship hall of the First Baptist Church in Newbern. Visitation will be at 5 p.m.

Survivors include his wife, Marlene Adkins of Bella Vista, Ark.; three daughters, Jenny Criswell of Bella Vista, Ark., Krystel Adkins of Bentonville, Ark. and Alicia Adkins of Las Vegas, Nev.; three sons, Casey Adkins of Pretty Prairie, Kan., Brett Adkins of Aurora, Colo. and Adam Adkins, Bella Vista, Ark.; two brothers, Robert Don Adkins and Glen Franklin Adkins, both of Dyersburg; 20 grandchildren; and two great-grandchildren.

Judith R. Davis, 74 of Baldwyn, Mississippi died on Monday, June 26, 2017, at North Mississippi Medical Center in Tupelo, Mississippi.

Born Friday, December 25, 1942 in Bogota, Tennessee, she was the daughter of the late Sullivan Roberson and the late Dezene Presgrove Roberson. She was a retired nurse and attended the Free Will Church of Amory, Mississippi.

Graveside services for Mrs. Davis will be 11:00 AM on Thursday, June 29, 2017 at Dyer County Memorial Gardens. Family and friends are asked to gather at the cemetery. Officiating this service will be Rev. Mike Hickman. Visitation will be Wednesday from 5:00 PM until 7:00 PM at Johnson-Williams Funeral Home.

He is survived by her husband of forty years, Wilson W. Davis, of Baldwyn, Mississippi; three daughters, Dr. Beth Walker and Laurie Struna (John) all of Denver, Colorado and Wendy C. Davis; two stepsons, Anthony Davis and Wilson Davis, Jr. both of McKenzie, Tennessee; two brothers, Jerry Roberson of Nashville, Tennessee and Tom Roberson of Houston, Texas; fifteen grandchildren and three great-grandchildren.

In addition to her parents she was preceded in death by one brother, Mike Roberson.

Bettie Sue Hartsfield, 89 of Newbern, Tennessee died on Monday, June 26, 2017, at her residence in Newbern, Tennessee.

Born Thursday, September 15, 1927 in Newbern, Tennessee, she was the daughter of the late Ira Gregg Crenshaw and the late Robbie Linnie Williams Crenshaw. She was a retired employee of All-Wear and a life long member of Fairview Baptist Church in Newbern, Tennessee.

Funeral services for Mrs. Hartsfield will be 11 a.m. on Friday, June 30, 2017 in the Chapel of Johnson-Williams Funeral Home with Rev. Jackie Harris officiating. Interment will follow in Fairview Cemetery in Newbern, Tennessee. Visitation will be Thursday, June 29, 2017 from 5-8 p.m. at Johnson-Williams Funeral Home.

She leaves to cherish her memory, two sons, Jerry L. Hartsfield (Sylvia) of Jackson, Tennessee and Kenneth L. Hartsfield of Newbern, Tennessee; three daughters, Janice L. Patten of Christiana, Tennessee, Betty H. Jackson (Conrad) of Newbern, Tennessee and Anita G. Thompson (Danny) of Newbern, Tennessee; one brother, Irving "Rad" Crenshaw of Newbern, Tennessee; one sister, Letha Carol Harper of Southaven, Mississippi; nine grandchildren; seventeen great -grandchildren and a host of nieces and nephews.

In addition to her parents she was preceded in death by her husband, Wilmer Hartsfield; four brothers, Bob Crenshaw, Bill Crenshaw, David Crenshaw and Sam Crenshaw and two sisters, Alma Ruth Dozier and Linnie Ann Hall.

Pallbearers will be Buddy Criswell, Jeff Speight, Troy Haltom, Randal Crenshaw, Stanley Crenshaw and Carey Hall

The family asked that any memorials be directed to Fairview Baptist Church, 4756 Biffle Road, Newbern, TN 38059.

Valencia was a member of St. John #3 M.B. Church. She was employed with the State of Tennessee as Correctional Officer and a member Order of Eastern Bethsheba Chapter #16.
