Sen. Yarbro addresses local Democratic Party
Sunday, October 8, 2017
Dyersburg native Jeffrey Yarbro returned to Dyersburg recently to address the Dyer County Democratic Party. Yarbro, now serving in the Tennessee State Senate representing a Nashville district, delivered a short talk free of the rancor that characterizes much of political debate these days. He spoke of the need to focus on solutions to real problems rather than being distracted by emotion-laden minutiae. He also lamented Tennessee’s ranking of 50th in voter turnout and urged mobilizing our electorate. Dyersburg Mayor John Holden and Dyer County Mayor Chris Young were on hand to declare “Jeffrey Yarbro Day.”
