Wednesday, January 3, 2018

On Saturday, Dec. 30, 2017 shortly before 4:30 a.m., Dyersburg Police officers responded to an alarm call at the Bus Stop, located at 304 West Court St. Upon arrival officers found a glass door to the business had been damaged so an employee was called to the scene to assist officers in checking the business. Once inside officers began searching the building and found a male suspect hiding in the restroom. The suspect was detained and found to have a sizeable amount of cash on his person that belonged to the Bus Stop. The suspect was identified as Rickey Eugene Singleton 29 years of age that is currently homeless. He was also found to have illegal narcotics on his person while being searched by officers at the scene. Singleton was transported to the Dyer County Law Enforcement Center and held on charges of burglary, felony vandalism and possession of marijuana with an initial appearance in Dyersburg City Court of Jan. 2.

  • Get a J.O.B. ppl!!! If you have so much time on your hands to where you're out running the streets @ 4:30 in the morning, then you clearly have time to go search for a job! One that isn't illegal! And you're homeless, yet u still have funds for narcotics?!? Maybe you've smoked yourself stupid and that's the problem! Just saying... Lay off the pot & get your life together so that maybe the next time your face is plastered all over the newspaper for everyone to see, it'll be for doing something good or an accomplishment, instead of breaking into a local business, robbing it, and being caught cowering in bathroom with the stolen cash & a sack of weed in ur pocket!
