Deputies make multiple arrests, man charged with aggravated rape
At approximately 11:42 Thursday morning, the Dyer County Sheriff’s Department arrested 18-year-old Dekotta Adam Stover on charges including harassment, aggravated rape and kidnapping.
According to Dyer County Sheriff Jeff Box, deputies arrested Stover on Hwy. 104.
Along with Stover, arrests were made to 23-year-old Hunter Lee Anderson and 46-year-old Stacy Ann Russell.
Anderson was wanted for charges including criminal impersonation, failure to appear, aggravated assault and violation of an order of protection.
Russell’s charges include theft of property under $1,000.
According to the Dyer County Sheriff’s Dept., contact was made with 3 individuals after being stopped by deputies on Hwy. 104 near Bush Rd.
The individuals were driving in a 4-door white Tahoe, with tags traced back to a stolen black Honda Civic. The Civic was previously reported as stolen from Dyersburg.
The front-seat passenger [later identified as Anderson] stated that his name was Chance Russell. Anderson further stated that he didn't have an ID on him and didn't know his Social Security number. Anderson was asked to step out of the vehicle, place his hands behind his back and advised that he was being detained until he could be identified.
No records could be found by the name of Chance Russell with the DOB of 1/9/95. The subject then advised that his name was Hunter Stover and stated that his mother, Stacy Russell, was driving the vehicle. Russell was asked if that was her son, and she stated that he wasn't her son. Russell advised that she was just giving him [Anderson] a ride. The subject finally admitted that his name is Hunter Anderson. According to the Sheriff’s Office, Anderson currently has warrants out of Dyersburg Police Department. Anderson, Stover and Russell were taken into custody and transported to the Dyer County Jail.
Stover will appear in Municipal Court Jan. 5 at 9 a.m. Anderson is to appear in General Sessions court on Jan. 8 at 9 a.m. for charges of criminal impersonation, and on Jan. 5 at 9 a.m. at the Dyersburg Municipal Courtroom for all additional charges. A hold was also placed on Anderson for Dyersburg Police Department. Russell was released on a $1,000 cash bond and will appear before General Session on Jan. 8 at 9 a.m.
