According to THP, O’Neal’s dump truck was travelling southbound on Highway 78 and crossed the centerline. The dump truck then struck the left side of Rhodes’ SUV, which was travelling northbound. The collision resulted in the Ford rotating 180 degrees and coming to rest near the Nauvoo School Road intersection. The dump truck came to rest in the brush located to the right of the northbound lane.

Harold, along with his passenger Joyce Rhodes, 86, was transported to West Tennessee Healthcare Dyersburg Hospital via Medical Center EMS of Dyer County with minor injuries.

THP also noted O’Neal was cited for failure to keep proper lane.
