Cattle Receipts: 245 Two weeks ago: 438 Last year: not reported
Compared to the same sale two weeks ago, Slaughter cows steady to 4.00
higher. Bulls steady. Steers steady. Heifers under 500 lbs 2.00 to 4.00
higher, over 500 lbs steady. Bulls steady to 3.00 higher. Quality fair to
good. Demand moderate.
Feeders: 205 Slaughter: 22 Replacements: 18
Slaughter cows made up 10 percent of the offering, slaughter bulls 2
percent, replacement cows 11 percent, and feeders 77 percent. The feeder
supply included 32 percent steers, 48 percent heifers, and 20 percent
bulls. Near 16 percent of the run weighed over 600 lbs.
