Weighted Average Report for Monday Feb 18, 2019
Cattle Receipts: 758 Last week: 823 Last year: 906
Compared to the same sale last week, Slaughter cows and bulls steady.
Steers under 600 lbs steady to 4.00 higher, over 600 lbs steady. Heifers
and bulls mostly steady. Quality average to fancy. Demand moderate.
Feeders: 717 Slaughter: 33 Replacements: 8
Offerings included the following load lot:
87 Heifers, M&L 1&2, 600 lbs, Mixed Breeds, 5-6 Flesh, $139.50
Slaughter cows made up 3 percent of the offering, slaughter bulls 1
percent, replacement cows 1 percent, and feeders 95 percent. The feeder
supply included 35 percent steers, 57 percent heifers, and 9 percent
bulls. Near 54 percent of the run weighed over 600 lbs.
