Weighted Average Report for Wednesday Mar 13, 2019
Cattle Receipts: 1164 Last week: 1499 Last year: 1230
Compared to the same sale last week, Slaughter cows steady. Bulls 1.00
higher. Steers under 550 lbs 2.00 to 5.00 lower with instances 10.00
lower, over 550 lbs steady to 3.00 higher. Heifers steady to 6.00 lower
with instances 10.00 lower. Bulls 2.00 to 8.00 lower. Quality fair to
good with several fleshier new crop calves. Demand moderate to good.
Feeders: 1013 Slaughter: 84 Replacements: 67
Slaughter cows made up 8 percent of the offering, slaughter bulls 1
percent, replacement cows 9 percent, and feeders 81 percent. The feeder
supply included 41 percent steers, 43 percent heifers, and 16 percent
bulls. Near 25 percent of the run weighed over 600 lbs.
