DCHS to operate under Phase 2 guidelines

The Dyer County School System announced Thursday afternoon, September 10, the system would operate next week, Sept. 14-18, under the Phase 3 guidelines for all schools with the exception of Dyer County High School. DCHS is scheduled to operate the upcoming week in Phase 2.

- Phase 3 schools: Fifth Consolidated, Finley Elementary, Holice Powell Elementary, Newbern Elementary, Trimble Elementary, Northview Middle School, Three Oaks Middle School

All students in Preschool – 8th grade will attend every day

- Phase 2 – DCHS

High school students will attend on alternate days

Additionally, Dyer County Schools stated masks are optional under Phase 3 guidelines unless there is a current county-wide mandate. During a county-wide mandate, all students are expected to wear a mask on the bus. Students in grades 6-12 are expected to wear masks during times of transition.
