State Gazette hosts Middle School Players of the Year Ceremony

Thursday night, the State Gazette presented the Middle School Players of the Year Ceremony, hosted by Dyer County High School. Following a meal provided by Alvino’s Pizza, Players of the Year awards were given to athletes from the eight team-exclusive sports. The players were selected based on a number of criteria - ranging from coaches’ nominations to statistics to overall performance on the field and importance to their team. Each player was also named to the State Gazette All-County team in their respective sport.
