Special to the State Gazette

Tickets are now on sale for State Gazetteís Community Impact Awards Ceremony. The event will be held on October 19 at the Lannom Center. This awards ceremony recognizes 10 amazing community volunteers who have sacrificed time and talent to cultivate a healthier, stronger community.

Each nominee will be honored during the banquet, with one of the 10 finalists selected as Impactor of the Year. Nominees were selected by the State Gazette through community-wide referrals.

This yearís nominees include: Marsh Naidoo, Lisa Chesney, Vanedda Webb, Lori Seiber, Sonya Burks, Andy Jayroe, John Lazure, Wayde Jackson, Christi Boone, and Don Byrd.

Tickets are $25 each and can be purchased at State Gazette, located at 114 West Court St. in downtown Dyersburg. The State Gazette is open Monday-Thursday from 9-3:30 p.m.

Tickets include dinner and dessert on the night of the banquet. There will also be live music and a silent auction.

This yearís guest speaker is Stefania Wheeler, Northwest Director of Donor Development for United Way.

The State Gazette will donate 10-percent of its profits from this event to the local animal rescue, Paws to Care. Additionally, all proceeds raised from the eventís silent auction, a portion of ticket sales, and other festivities planned for the night will also go toward the benefit of this worthy charity.

Special thanks to all our sponsors, including First Citizens National Bank, The Mustard Company Store, Maple Ridge Assisted Living, and Burks Broadcasting.

Itís not too late to become a Community Impact sponsor!
