Coats for Kids in need of donations
Thursday, November 29, 2012
Temperatures this week have dipped to below freezing, forcing many parents to begin digging out winter coats for their kids. However, many kids do not have the luxury of a winter coat as the tough economy has made it difficult for many families to buy coats for their children on a yearly basis. To help families in the area, the State Gazette began the Coats for Kids program in 2008 with the goal of distributing winter coats to children in need. So far the program has given approximately 1,200 coats to kids in need.
