Severe weather moving into the area with possible tornados

It's not spring yet, but the midsouth is bracing for some unusual spring-like weather including a moderate chance for tornados beginning later this evening and extending overnight. The National Weather Service raised the tornado condition (TOR CON) threat level from 4 to 6 late this afternoon indicating that conditions are favorable for a moderate chance of a tornado threat. Hail and high wind gusts are also possible for this evening. Hail as large as one-inch in diameter is also possible throughout West Tennessee with 8 p.m. to 2 a.m. being the timeframe most likely for severe weather.
