West TN announces an effective end to veteran homelessness
Sunday, November 4, 2018
On Oct. 23, West Tennessee became the first Continuum of Care (CoC) in the state of Tennessee to bring about a sustainable end to homelessness among veterans in its 23-county service area. The announcement comes after the United States Interagency Council on Homelessness (USICH), U.S. Department of Housing and Urban Development (HUD), U.S. Department of Veterans Affairs (VA), and the National League of Cities (NLC) have both verified and affirmed that the West TN CoC has successfully created a system and infrastructure to make Veteran homelessness rare, brief, and non-recurring.
