State Gazette partners with West Cancer Foundation for DC Donates breast cancer awareness fundraiser

Friday, October 8, 2021

For many years, The State Gazette has published the annual Breast Cancer Awareness section in the month of October. We are proud to continue that tradition this year. For 2021, the special section will print on Saturday, October 30 and feature various stories ranging from survivors and those within the medical field who help individuals and families combat cancer.

However, we at The State Gazette feel we should not only share these remarkable stories, but we should help provide a way to assist our community members who are going through their battles with breast cancer while raising awareness and educating those in the Dyer County area.

The State Gazette is proud to announce a partnership with the West Cancer Foundation for this year’s Breast Cancer Awareness section. Now through October 28, The State Gazette is collecting donations for the West Cancer Foundation to help further the local battle against breast cancer.

West Cancer Foundation’s mission is to advance the fight against cancer through research, education, patient support, and community outreach. From breast screenings to helping meet transportation needs, West Cancer Foundation provides the community with a multitude of services and programs.

Donations can be made in person at The State Gazette or online at www.westcancerfoundation.org using #DCDonates in the comment section.

A video further explaining the partnership and detailed information on how the donations will help our local community will be released in the coming days.

The State Gazette will be tracking the amount of donations collected locally and print up-to-date results beginning Saturday.
