Jamborees set for Saturday through Monday

High School football isn't the only thing ramping up for the start of the regular season and local fans will get a chance to see some other sports in jamboree action beginning on Saturday morning over a three-day period.
Girls soccer takes the stages early on Saturday morning as the annual Dyersburg Girls Soccer Jamboree gets underway at 8 a.m. with action on two fields through the course of four sessions.
The hosting Dyersburg Lady Trojans will get their day started in the opening game at J.C. Sawyers Stadium when they take on Obion County Central at 8 a.m. The black and gold will have an hour off between their two games as they will return to the field on the practice field at 10 a.m. to take on Haywood in their second game.
Dyer County will also be in action at DHS on Saturday morning. The Lady Choctaws will play both of their games on the practice field as the orange and white take on Henry County at 9 a.m. and Crockett County at 11 a.m.
Westview and Brighton will also be a part of the annual girls soccer jamboree at DHS.
Across the county in Newbern, Dyer County High School will host the Johnson-Williams Funeral Home Jamboree, which kicks off at 9 a.m.
Junior varsity action leads things off as Dyersburg Middle School and Three Oaks meet up in the opening game of the day.
The DMS varsity takes to the field at 10 a.m. when the Trojans take on Ripley in the second game of the day.
Northview will play in varsity action in back-to-back games to close out the schedule. The Choctaws take on Northeast at 11 a.m. and Halls at noon to close out the day of football.
Dyer County High School will also play host to the West Tennessee Athletic Conference North Football Jamboree on Monday night beginning at 6 p.m.
Three Oaks takes on Halls in the first game of the evening with Lake County and Humboldt battling in the second game starting at 6:45 p.m. Northview will close out the evening with Ripley at 7:30 p.m.
Northview Middle School will host the WTAC Class A Volleyball Jamboree on Tuesday evening, which begins at 5:30 p.m.
Three Oaks and Haywood play in the opening game then Humboldt faces Halls at 6:15 p.m. Northview closes out the evening when the Lady Choctaws take on Lake County at 7 p.m.
