The Main Street Fall Festival brought a crowd to downtown Dyersburg on Saturday, Sept. 28. Those attending the event sponsored by the Dyersburg/Dyer County Chamber of Commerce's Main Street Program were treated to beautiful autumn weather and several activites in two separate locations. Events held in the Main Street Farmer's Market pavilion and at the Downtown River Park included the last day of the farmer's market season, Matthew 25:40's second annual Duck Splash (a race for rubber duckies down the Forked Deer River), a bluegrass performance by Cane Ridge and concessions by Caterpillar's "Fat Cat Grill Team." Shoppers enjoyed perusing the booths of produce, crafts, face painting and even panning for precious gems. The eighth annual Forked Deer Antique Car Club Show took place along Mill Avenue and Masonic Street in the Historic Downtown District. The car show featured rock-n-roll music and concessions by the Dyer County Chapter of the American Red Cross.
