The Key Corner Chapter of the Daughters of the American Revolution hosted a presentation by the grandson of the 10th President of the United States in the community room of McIver's Grant Public Library on Monday, Oct. 28. Lyon Gardiner Tyler Jr. is the grandson of the President John Tyler, who served as Commander In Chief from 1841-1845. Both President Tyler and his son, Lyon Gardiner Sr., were widowers who remarried and fathered children late in life. As a result, three generations of the Tyler family now span 223 years -- and counting.
