Veterans Day Festivities

Veterans Day was celebrated throughout Dyer County on Monday beginning with the traditional Veterans Day Service on the east side of the Dyer County Courthouse. Maj. Andrew Moore delivered the keynote address. The service was followed by the annual parade featuring Veterans from wars and conflicts dating back to World War II. Dyer County JROTC, Dyer County Band, Dyersburg Band, boys scouts, girls scouts, Dyersburg Police Department, Dyer County Rescue Squad and the Disabled American Veterans and Auxiliary also participated in the parade. The events were followed by a dinner at the Dyersburg National Guard Armory sponsored by the DAV and DAV Auxiliary.
