Rescue Squad home to new ambulance

The Dyer County Rescue Squad hosted representatives of the Dyersburg/Dyer County Chamber of Commerce, the City of Newbern, Dyersburg Regional Medical Center, the Dyer County government, the City of Dyersburg and Air Evac Lifeteam for a ribbon cutting on Tuesday, Feb. 18. The celebration marked the arrival of an ambulance to the Rescue Squad located at 718 Sharps Ferry Rd., in Newbern, a prime location to assist residents in the areas of Newbern, Churchton, Trimble, parts of East Dyer County and parts of Millsfield. On Tuesday, emergency officials celebrated the new partnerships which results in faster response times for residents in need of medical attention in northern Dyer County.
