City awards communications bid to out-of-town company

The Dyersburg Board of Mayor and Aldermen awarded a bid for a backup communication system to an out of town company Monday night over the objection of three aldermen and amid questions about the bidding process. Integrated Communications was awarded the contract with a bid of $38,519.75. West Tennessee Communications of Dyersburg bid $39,626 on the project.
