Drug sale, kidnapping, robbery of undercover agent brings nine-year prison sentence

A Dyersburg man who kidnapped and robbed a confidential drug informant pleaded guilty Tuesday in Dyer County Circuit Court and was sentenced to serve nine years in prison. Anthony Randaul, 23, of 205 Liberty Ave., pleaded guilty to charges of sale of less than .5 gram of cocaine, robbery and kidnapping and was sentenced to serve four years, six months on each charge. ...

Corps plans to open flood-fight office here; floodwaters force family to leave home

With the Mississippi River steadily rising, the U.S. Army Corps of Engineers plans to open a flood-fight office here Thursday morning. Backwaters are already flooding fields and covering some of Dyer County's secondary roads.
