Videotape catches man using stolen credit card

A Dyersburg man caught on videotape using a stolen credit card pleaded guilty Tuesday in Dyer County Circuit Court and was sentenced to probation and restitution. Brandon Keith Anderson 20, of 3203 Highway 51 South, pleaded guilty to a charge of fraudulent use of a credit card worth less than $10,000 and was sentenced to serve 11 months, 29 days in the Dyer County Jail and to pay $1,003.66 in restitution by Judge Lee Moore. ...

Election commission taking steps to ease fail-safe voting

The Dyer County Election Commission is trying to remedy defects in the state's fail-safe voting law to better serve voters who haven't changed their address listings. The agency that helps people find help received some economic assistance on Thursday when Matthew 25:40, Inc. received a $1,300 donation from the Jackson Deanery Development Committee of Catholic Charities.
