Mother charged with murder of children

A Dyersburg woman was extradited to Wisconsin on Monday after she admitted to police that she murdered two infant sons in 1982 and 1984. Maxine Watson, 37, of the 600 block of Peabody Street, is charged with two counts of second-degree murder. Raises voted for mayor, aldermen

The Dyersburg Board of Mayor and Aldermen voted itself pay raises on Monday night totaling $50 per month for aldermen and an additional $3,000 for the salary of Mayor Bill Revell.
