Despite its recent lack of success, the Dyersburg/Dyer County Chamber of Commerce is poised to take advantage of an improving economy to attract new industry, its president said Monday. City agrees to house Navy jet

Newbern plant formally acquired by Eaton

Eaton Corp. formally acquired on Monday the Boston Weatherhead division from Dana Corp., including the plant in Newbern. The acquisition was announced in October. The facility employs 168. The Toledo, Ohio, concern makes hydraulic products and fluid connectors, electrical power distribution and control equipment, truck drivetrain systems, engine components and a wide variety of controls. ...

With college fees on the rise nationwide, high school seniors and their parents are seeing a growing number of financial-aid scams that charge area parents for information they could get for free through high school counseling offices.
