CHS vows to keep hospital open

JACKSON -- Community Health System must keep the Dyersburg hospital -- and six others it is buying from Methodist Healthcare -- open for a minimum of 10 years. Regents cut program at Dyersburg State

The Tennessee Board of Regents has voted to cut or consolidate dozens of university and community college programs including one course of study in electronics at Dyersburg State Community College. The Regents will phase out about 20 university degree programs and 26 community college programs that did not enroll many students, and consolidate two dozen more. Sheriff's deputies find red phosphorus meth lab
