Lowe's confirms new store in Dyersburg

Lowe's corporate offices in Wilkesboro, N.C., confirmed Thursday that it would invest $16.5 million in a home-improvement warehouse in Dyersburg along the Highway 51 Bypass. The facility will add approximately 175 jobs to the area. In addition to tools, fixtures, appliances and furnishings, the new store will also have an "impressive" garden center. Man sues for $3 million over loss of leg

A Dyersburg man who lost a leg to bedsores has filed a $3 million lawsuit against a local physician and clinic. John Mays claims in the complaint filed Dec. 29 in Dyer County Circuit Court by Jackson attorney Jeffrey P. Boyd that Dr. L. Harris, Wound Care Clinic-ESU Inc. and Family Nurse Practitioner Brenda Hollis acted negligently in allowing bedsores to advance to the point of requiring the amputation of Mays' leg...
