Citizen's arrest attempt brings warning over beer sales

A local activist concerned about illegal sales of alcohol to minors created her own "sting operation" on Saturday night and ended up with a reprimand from Dyersburg Police chief Bobby Williamson on Monday. Williamson said that while citizens have broad powers to enforce the law under statutes on citizen's arrests, they often lack a thorough knowledge of criminal law.
