NASHVILLE - Dr. Sheran Yeates categorically denied allegations of unprofessional behavior Friday afternoon, but that wasn't enough to lift the suspension of his medical license. Strangler charged with attempted murder

A Dyersburg man who choked his ex-girlfriend into unconsciousness Wednesday had the charges against him changed from aggravated assault to attempted first-degree murder at the request of the District Attorney's office. Tommy Rogers, 43, of 119 Suzie in Dyersburg was originally charged with aggravated assault.
