Sexual battery charges filed against juvenile

Charges have been filed against a 17-year-old male, according to the Dyer County Sheriff's Department. The sexual battery charges stemmed from a complaint registered by a 15-year-old female. The female and her guardians visited the sheriff's department at 3:45 a.m. Saturday. The girl alleges she was sexually battered by the male juvenile earlier that morning in the RoEllen vicinity near Parker Ditch.
