There has never been a publication quite like it in Tennessee that Dyersburg Police Chief Bobby Williamson can remember and, so far as he is concerned, every family in the state needs one in the home. With the help of local printer Quebecor World, DPD took the basic idea of one of its patrol officers, Chris Clements, for a publication to help Dyersburg Citizens improve their Neighborhood Watch activities and turned it into an inclusive 16-page magazine that also deals with terrorism, natural disasters and home security. ...

Pizza delivery robbery draws nine-month jail sentence

A Newbern man who robbed a Dyersburg pizza deliveryman was sentenced Tuesday in Dyer County Circuit Court to serve nine months in jail.
