Successful completion of rehabilitation leads to suspended sentence

A Newbern man Tuesday became one of an estimated 10 percent of persons furloughed to long-term rehabilitation from Dyer County Circuit Court to successfully complete the program. Judge Lee Moore granted Joe Anthony Ward, 39, of 420 York St., a suspended sentence after he completed a 12-month residential drug-treatment program at the Synergy Foundation in Memphis. ...
