They were like kids in the ultimate toy store. "This is better than shopping!" said Heather Sims, behavior specialist with Youth Villages, as she got ready to dig into a box overflowing with toys. Children of the 230th Area Support Group Family Readiness Group, Northwest Safeline, Youth Villages, the Dyer County Head Start program, Department of Children's Services, the Dyersburg-Dyer County Union Mission and local needy families were the beneficiaries of Dyer Countians' generosity for the eighth annual Toys for Tots drive sponsored by Triple T Tire & Alignment.. ...

Albert Tubbs doesn't care about the number of lights causing the twinkle around his property. He does it for the twinkle in children's eyes when they see it. He's providing that twinkle from now until Dec. 26. The light show runs from 5-10 p.m. each night. Williamson to speak in Nashville
