For nine days, five Dyersburg Boy Scouts were residents of one of the largest cities in Virginia as they participated in the 2005 National Scout Jamboree at Fort A.P. Hill, Va., July 25 through Aug. 3. Representing West Tennessee Area Council Boy Scouts of America, Jeffrey Dycus and Patrick Heckethorn, both of Troop 88, and John Melton, Corey Sipes and Price Whitnel, all of Troop 87, were part of the event's 36-member Troop 1942. ...

Suspected truck thief arrested
